Hi everybody!!!
This week was basically wonderful. We were blessed. I'll share some highlights...
Monday we taught 2 investigators that we have been teaching and committed them to baptism!!! One of them isn't 100% sure but set the date and is working for an answer. The other one is just solid. He is like halfway done with the Book of Mormon and has read like the entire church website hahaha. He is eating it up. We were talking about the requirements of salvation and the topic went instantly to baptism. They weren't too sure they wanted to commit just yet then my companion bore a humble and powerful testimony and they were broken. Spirit was strong and they are going to get baptized in November! They even fasted on Sunday and paid a fast offering at church! Awesome!
Thursday we taught a sister again and that went really well. She is sooo close! She loves everything our church teaches and had a spiritual experience reading in the Book of Mormon. The spirit was there in the lesson though as we spoke about faith, repentance, baptism, and the gift of the Holy Ghost. We had a new convert and her testimony was really powerful and helpful. So close!
Saturday we did a service project! We helped a 77 year old lady do some yard work. She kept saying over and over again that she has never met such nice people in her life and didn't believe such people existed. Kinda sad that she has never met charitable people but that is really how it is. She was a child in the war and then lived in communist Germany. Her husband cheated on her and left and she only has contact with one child now. Really sad how her family is basically non-existent in her life. It was great to see her face light up as we served her. The yard work took me back too. I never thought I'd love trimming bushes so much.
Sunday we had 6 investigators in church!!!! Awesome!! These people are progressing! 5 have baptismal dates. Can you say blessings!
Basically those are the highlights. Other cool stuff happened too but I can't remember it all right now nor do I have time. But I just love my mission. It is hard. It sucks sometimes but the successes make you forget the bad. Stoked about the work right now. We are being blessed. This is the last week before transfers and I'm fearing that I'll have to leave! I hope not. I love my district and ward and investigators. Naja we will see.
God lives. He is our Father in Heaven. He sent his son, Jesus Christ to be our Savior. He leads and guides us today through the prophet Thomas S. Monson. We can all know of these truths. I know it.
Have a great week people!!
