This week was awesome! Lots happened. Really busy week. Really good.
So highlights were the trip to Z, joint teach with L, Sunday, and President Lehmann.
Saturday we went to Z and did work! Made out 7 new appointments and 5 return appointments totaling like 15 people from like 5 countries. We are giving out tons of Books of Mormon and teaching tons of students about the restored gospel. Way cool people from Morroco, China, Indonesia, Russia, and Turkey. We will see how many stick around for the next semester and how many make progress but it is just way cool to see so much interest in one place.
Sunday was just way awesome cause church was really good and relaxing actually for a change. Really got to enjoy the spirit this week. Then the part member family we have been working with, the K, came with us to another family for an eating appointment. That was crazy. Hilarious, and just a really good time. There was like 11 of us at one table and the kids were all running around and it was just way fun. It was really good to see the families creating friendships and having a great time together.
This week, like most weeks, we had a ton of contact with our hilarious branch president. He lives on our street and we work way close with him so that is awesome. We are his favorite elders and it is always hilarious when he is around. It is really cool to work so closely too. In my first area we hardly ever talked to the branch pres. but here we work together and we have done a ton of good in the branch. We got 2 nonactives to church this last week too!
The coolest thing in the week was probably our appointment with L. L has had a way unstable family life and she lives in a halfway house thing. We got her to agree to meet with us at the branch president's house and had a wayyy awesome lesson, and she even brought two friends with! We weren't sure to what extent L believed and if she has had much experience with prayer and such things. We were blown away as she bore testimony of prayer to her friends and invited them to come and see more what we are about. It was amazing. L is not even baptized and has only been coming regularly to church for a month and she is doing missionary work better than any members I know of. Amazing. Her brother, S is getting baptized Sunday, and we hope to get permission from her father for her to be baptized as well. That appointment was prolly one of the coolest of my whole mission.
Anyway things here are going so good. We had to drop some investigators this week and others stopped progressing so much but others are doing awesome and we are finding new oppurtunities all the time. Effort and attitude are at a high at the moment. I better not get transferred!
Til next week.
Elder Clayton
