With an amazing Christmas time over I had to say goodbye to the Hildesheim branch and all my favorite people, investigators and members in the city. That was pretty tough but it wasn't bad cause it was Christmas and we had so much fun. Then it was off to Görlitz.
The travel there was rough. 8 hours on trains. Not fun. Especially cause I had 2 giant suitcases and a wayyy heavy backpack. Anyways eventually I arrived and the first night we did some finding and then met the branch president who lives 4 doors down. He's hilarious!
This week was a lot of getting used to the city and all the differences. New branch, new companion, new city, and new people. The east is a lot different from the west. The city is way pretty though and half of it is in Poland! So we are allowed to go to Poland whenever we want. My comp is awesome and hilarious. The work here is pretty dead cause my comp recently got his appendix out and he was down for almost a month. Anyway we are excited to build the area up and find some sweet people to teach and hopefully baptize. I think I'm really going to like it here in Görlitz. The branch is way cool and funny.
New Years we were with the branch president and his wife and I don't think I've laughed so much ever on my mission. It was 3 hours of straight laughter. My companion and I loved it! We ate dinner, had fondue, heard J. Golden Kimball stories, made paper stars, and then did fireworks. Wayyy fun. Then later my comp and I watched the fireworks from the window and drank celebratory ginger ale. Wayy fun. New Years here sounds and looks like a war zone. Crazyness.
Anyway I'm completely out of time but next week I'll send a better letter. Much love everyone!
