Monday we had an awesome district ping pong pday in Cottbus. Tuesday I was on splits with our swiss zone leader and that was awesome. Wednesday was district meeting and awesome. Thursday we had a ton of appointments. Friday we helped a member move like all day (way funny members). Saturday we worked in a snow storm. And Sunday we went to Hildesheim. Great week!
Highlights..... we have a couple awesome new investigators and saw some real miracles in finding. Saturday night we got out of our last appointment at like 730 and were like an hour walk away from home in a snow storm. The day before we had failed to make out an appointment but we prayed for a miracle and we had made out two appointments by 830. It was a small miracle but a miracle nonetheless. The new investigators are both very faithful christian ladies who are wayy nice and seemingly open to the message. Hopefully we can see more progress with them soon. Other thing that was cool is that we had a wayyy good appointment with S. He is a 10 year old son of a less active who is getting baptized in March. We taught the plan of salvation and it was really powerful. The mother bore lots of testimony and shared experiences of her conversion relating to the plan of salvation. I love the plan of salvation.
The best part was yesterday. We visited Hildesheim so I could confirm P. That was a special experience. The love and spirit there were amazing. One of the highlights of my mission. It was like going home. I've only been gone for a month or so but it seemed like longer. J picked us up from the train station and gave me a big ol hug. Then once we got to church we went right into the principles class where C, K, P, C, N, and A, the wml, were and they all jumped up and gave me hugs and ya it was like family. Then we had an awesome lesson about the atonement where all my converts were giving awesome comments and it was amazing. Then I confirmed P and the german flowed ok and the spirit was strong. After church I got to catch up with all my favorite people and then we got invited to eat with the M family. We were with them on Christmas and man they were fun. Hilarious times and ya I'm pretty sure Hildesheim is my favorite place on the planet. I love that branch and those people. We had to get up at 3 and didn't get back until 10 but it was sooo worth it.
This week I finished the book of Alma. I was so sad that the war chapters are over because then all my favorite people disappeared. Pahoran died, Captain Moroni went home, Helaman went to teach the gospel, Teancum died, Lehi isn't mentioned anymore. All my heroes dissappeared but I was thankful for their example and the things they did. Moroni, Pahoran, Teancum, Helaman and Lehi had such passion and love for freedom. Especially the freedom to worship God. They were masters of faith, obedience, and courage. I love the Book of Mormon for the awesome examples and things I can learn from them!!
