Hi everybody!!!!
Special shout out to Adda Hardman!! Welcome to the world little one. We love you.
So this week was pretty great. Really busy and really good. I will just share some highlights....
T is doing awesome. We have almost taught her everything and she is just basically golden. We set up an appointment with the church employment specialist in the stake for this week and hopefully we can help her get a better job so she can come to church. I sure hope so cause she is ready to be baptized.
Other big success was a first lesson with C. She is from Cameroon here studying. She was super ready and willing to accept the message. Probably one of the the best first lessons I've ever been able to give. She is believing enough to already have a great foundation but also humble enough to give the message of the restoration a chance. Can you say elect? Ya we are excited about her. She is going to come to institute this week with us and hopefully to church as well. I just felt so blessed to be there to teach her. The spirit was strong.
The other big thing of the week was zone conference with our new president and his wife. They are wayyy cool. Different of course from the Pimentels but I already love them. They are very good teachers and they are hilarious too. I think the whole mission is just excited to work more with them. It was an awesome zone conference for sure.
So this week in my study of the Book of Mormon in german I got to the part where Alma disappears from the land and was never heard of again. I was soooo sad. It was like legitamately a big deal for me that I wouldn't hear more from Alma the younger again in the book. so this week I decided to make a timeline of everything in the Book of Mormon that Alma had to do with. It took awhile but it was sooo cool to see what this great prophet had done. I feel like a lot of the prophets are super epic and we have a lot of teachings and things like in the New Testament or we have mostly stories of what they did like in the old but I love the Book of Mormon and Alma especially because we have their stories and their teachings. From his conversion story with the angel to being ordained high priest and chosen as the first cheif judge then puting an uprising to rest then preaching to the people in Zarahemla, Gideon, and then Ammonihah with Amulek then having to see all the believers burned then healing Zeezrom then meeting the sons of Mosiah and the Anti Nephi Lehis then his reactivation mission to the Zoramites with his crew of super missionaries to giving instructions and teachings to his sons. Alma is the coolest. Probably one of the greatest stories and accomplishments of the Book of Mormon. I just can't get over how much good he did for the people. Anyway I just wanted to share my Alma fanship.
So this week is my companion's last, we have quite a few new exciting developments with investigators this week, and transfers are at the end of the week too. Should be super exciting!! Just working and praying for the best. Hopefully more successes to come. Much love to you all!
