Hi er´one!
This week was real nice. Very busy, as usual. With this new training program it is hard to find time to study the amount that they want and still do a decent amount of work. Kind of frustrating finding time for both but we are doing our best. Learning a lot and working too. So the big stuff that happened this week....
Tuesday had a good appointment with a chinese student that we lost contact with for a while. We reviewed the first lesson with him and bore strong testimony. He promised to read the Book of Mormon and to pray about it. Strong spirit. He is super cool, open, and hopeful. Really excited to see how much progress he makes in the next couple weeks before he has to go back to China.
Wednesday everything fell out. We got a bunch of referals from church headquarters and that was the day we had to contact them all. (the only day we had time for that) 1 was fake, 1 we couldn't find the address, 1 we contacted, but turned out to be a handicapped man who just orders stuff off the internet, and the 4th we couldn't reach. That was kind of a bummer day. Then we visited a less active who wouldn't really let us talk let alone teach. Why am I telling you this? Because we were somehow still happy knowing we did our best.
Thursday we had a cool first lesson with a new guy from Mozambique, J. He is legit. Had a good lesson and he said he felt the spirit during the restoration film. We are excited to see his progress this week too. He wants to come to institute but is never in Berlin on the weekends so church was a no go. But ya he is honest and promised to read and pray...
Then we did a 3 hour split to help some members go through their home teaching list. They have 29 on their list and we got a lot of information. A few don't want contact, one had her records removed, we got to teach one, got 2 other appointments, and found out if the addresses were right on the others. Basically we got a lot accomplished for them. hahaha Home teaching is so easy in the states compared to here.
Then we met with T. Still no news on the work situation. Kinda frustrating. She wants to come to church but has to work on Sunday right now or she literally will not have enough money to pay the bills that are piling up. It is sad because she wants to come to church but it is not working out quite yet.
Friday was president's interviews and that was good. A lot different than how they were done with President Pimentel but it was good.
Saturady we helped with a family fest in a neighboring city. Got to play soccer and get to know the members.
Sunday was cool because M finally made it to church. He has been struggling with getting up on time to come and he totally got up and was there for 2 of the 3 hours. He seemed to really enjoy it so that was awesome. It was a huge step for him so we are grateful that that worked out.
So basically I'm out of time now but ya that was the week highlights. I'm learning a lot about conversion lately. It seems to be the topic in all our meetings and our study time. I want to write down my conversion story when I have time.
