Hey everybody!

Well this week it got, believe it or not, colder. It's about negative 20 degrees celcius. But it feels way colder than that because of the wind chill and humidity. It is wonderful. Actually not really. It is really hard. It is a trial of faith to stay out and look for investigators in this weather. No one wants to talk to you and it's hard to want to talk to them when you are so cold. So basically things were not the easiest this week but luckily we had a lot of appointments so we weren't out as much as we could have been.

As far as progress with investigators go.... nothing really huge to report. Some are keeping commitments, others not, some will be do or die appointments this week and some could maybe accept a baptisimal committment or come to church. One cool thing is that M, a new investigator from last week, came to church. He is really diving into the Book of Mormon and has a lot of crazy experiences that have to do with the plan of salvation. He is a very deep thinker and sometimes hard to understand but is very open and so far accepting. We had a great fast and testimony meeting where prolly over half of the branch bore their testimonies. They weren't storymonies or thankamonies either they were really solid, applicable, fundamental testimonies and the spirit was wayy strong. One sister who we were with the last two weeks for FHE talked about patience and faith and how much our visits have helped her and her nonmember husband and how he is starting to make slow progress. Really cool. We really got him to think about trying an experiment like it says in Alma 32 to test faith. Then told him what a spiritual confirmation would feel like and his wife was really involved and the whole thing didn't feel like an argument or convincing but loving encouragement and invitation to pray. Sis U was really grateful and it made us feel awesome.

We also went to the temple this week. It was awesome. We had a ton of fun as a district and the session was a spiritual highlight as well. It's been awhile since the last time I was at the temple and it was really great to think there and realize the deepness of covenants and feel recommitted to them. A great day. I'm going to miss this district and my companion. Transfer call was Saturday and my comp is going to finish his mission in Hamburg! He has always wanted to go there so I was wayy happy for him. Every companionship in this district changes which is sad cause it is my favorite district but naja it's ok because I'm getting Elder James!! He was in my last district and is one of my favorite people in the mission so I am wayyyy excited to work with him. He arrives tomorrow.

As we finished the transfer and planned for the new one yesterday Elder Simonsen and I got to see how much good we actually have done this transfer. We brought the program a long way. We hadn't realized just how much we had done and it felt good to know this area is better than when we found it. Now we gotta build it further and help some more people come to Christ. Really excited for the new transfer.

Oh plus we did a way cool service project with my favorite member here Br. J where we tore apart his old staircase made of stone and brick using a jackhammer. Soooo much fun. I love jackhammers. And Br J. And hilarious old german houses.

Ok I'm out of time. Favorite scripture pertaining to the plan of happiness that I shared in my testimony yesterday. 2 Nephi 2:25 "Adam fell that man might be, and men are that they might have joy".  This gospel is one of joy people. You can have fun doing other things, you can have pleasure doing other things, but the only way to have true joy is the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the joy that the gospel brings and I love to help others receive this joy. Have a joyous week people. Much love. Til next week
Elder Clayton
