Well this week was pretty awesome. My new comp finally got here after he missed a few trains and things but he got here and we went right out to appointments. This week has been really busy and really good and REALLY cold. The good news is that the coldest is supposed to be over. Anyways this week is really good and Elder J and I are stoked for the things we want to do in this transfer.
So this week M contintued to progress... hahaha. He loves to use a crazy vocabulary. The main thing is that he loves the Book of Mormon and coming to church and he came with us to a baptisimal service yesterday. He keeps saying how different the church feels and how it just really helps a ton to come to church. So he is our real success story this week. As long as we keep having joint teaches I think he will continue to progress.
Other things this week is we got to help with a move of a less active that was way cool. Lots from the ward showed up so we got the whole thing done in like 2 hours. It was sooo fun cause our members are hilarious. Elder J loves it here haha .
Our branch is also doing a fourty day fast for the missionary work so that is wayy awesome. We expect real miracles from that. We are also planning to do a member missionary workshop or something cause we feel like we really need to try to involve members more. Using members to find is soooo much more effective in terms of finding people that will progress. Most members in Germany are pretty numb to missionaries asking for refferals, so no one really does that anymore. (I haven't done it my whole mission cause it doesn't work) but we have some ideas for this workshop that will hopefully help. The branch really wants to grow cause it has just been shrinking for a long time so we hope to apply these ideas and get the branch really working with us. We are stoked to see how this all plays out. We feel like there are big things coming here!
Well not much else to report.... so I'll talk about the Book of Mormon. I'm in early 3 Nephi now and there are crazy things happening. The people go from insanely wicked to completely faithful and vice versa in a matter of 3-7 years. I keep wondering why they can't just get it together and pick one or the other. I believe the situation there was a lot like the near future. It was right before the Savior's visit. There are great signs and wonders and insanely righteous people and then there are the people who make secret deals and try to take over governments and murdering and the philosophies of men destroy the faith. If we want to stay on the Lord's side we are really going to have to be careful and the role of prophets become more and more important. Following the direction of the prophets will make all the difference in this crazy world.
Anyways I really got to go now. Much love!
Elder Clayton
