Soooooooo...... (from last week, Nov 7)

This week was pretty amazing. We have the BEST new investigators! The S family, C, P, N and her friend J, have accepted the gospel with their whole hearts. It's all they talk about. They study the Book of Mormon together and they went through the lesson pamphlets together after we taught them and they write down their thoughts and things in study journals. It's incredible. They even have done missionary work. They have a good family friend that lives two doors down who they have shared it all with (J) and she is going to be baptized as well. It's absolutely incredible and we feel so blessed to get to teach them. They are all so converted and it's because they keep commitments, or rather it's because they committed themselves. They all read and love the Book of Mormon, they all pray daily and pray for answers, and they all come to church. I'm convinced if anyone did these three things with a sincere heart they can be as converted and excited about the gospel as this family. Yesterday there was a meeting after stake conference for all the new converts and almost new converts and each person told how they found the church and their conversion story so to say and this family just bore powerful testimony and I was just sooo happy. Like I've rarely ever in my life been this happy. They were so grateful for me and my companion too so that was just a real special feeling knowing you have changed someone's life forever. Afterwards C asked me if I'd baptize her and wow, I've never felt so many feelings at once. I was stoked, honored, full of love and the spirit. It was AWESOME.
We also have another amazing investigator that will be baptized soon. She is a young married mother and she is amazing. She loves the Book of Mormon. She always says how familiar it feels to her. She prays too and has had some awesome experiences with prayer. A couple days after she committed to baptism she prayed to know if she really should get baptized and for some sort of sign if it's right and 5 minutes later we "accidentally" ran into her on the street. I felt prompted to walk down a street we wouldn't normally go down and I just went with it, not thinking much of it and there she was with the husband and kids on the way to kindergarten! Little did we know at the time we were an answer to her prayer. She also does the big 3, she reads and prays and comes to church, and despite an unsupportive family she is sooo converted and so excited to be baptized. She loves the fact that she will inherit a ward family. She said basically "take that family, I get a new one!" hahaha She's so funny. Her husband is way supportive though and the kids loved church. In our lessons this week she basically bore testimony of each point after we did hahaha We will share personal examples and then so will she. AWESOME.

So basically we had the most progressive week of either of our missions. The ward is stoked too cause they haven't had this many baptisms in like the last 10 years combined. We are basically soooo blessed.  It's incredible.

This week I studied virtue. One of my favorite scriptures on it is D&C 121:45-46. Basically it uses a lot of cool, deep, poetic doctrinal jargon to talk about the consequences of virtuous thoughts. I wrote out the whole scripture, then tried to write the blessings down in understandable language, then I translated it one more time into the dumbed down version that I understand better. Basically I came up with this, "virtuous living brings confidence before God and man, knowledge of God's priesthood and gospel, the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost, protection (spiritual and physical), truth, righteousness, and you will always see the good things in life." Being virutous in this world is not easy but check out these blessings. It's definitely worth it to try.

Ich wünsche euch eine schöne woche und alles gute! (more or less... have a great week!)
