BAPTISMS!!!! K and C were baptized yesterday! I had the privilege of administering the ordinance. It was basically amazing. There were tears shed and all smiles and it was basically just a spiritual explosion of love and stuff. Prolly one of the happiest moments of my entire life. If not, the best moment of my life. It was amazing. N moved back home and will be baptized next week and P hopefully soon as well. Plus J the best friend of N wants to be baptized as well. Basically, these two families are amazing and will strengthen the branch a ton. They feel at home in the branch and the branch has just embraced them and ya. It's the coolest thing ever. Elder J was able to come back and be there for the baptisms so that was awesome too! Both women are totally committed and strong. They both put God first and they made it and will only continue to grow in faith. It's an amazing thing to know you made a difference in someone's eternal happiness. The heavens rejoiced.
I have a new comp and we are getting along real well. This is probably his last area and he can't believe how awesome the work is here. We are making progress with other investigators and have a few new ones too. So basically I have nothing to complain about. except the fact I'm missing Thanksgiving. And it's freezing. But besides that it doesn't get much better as far as being a missionary in Germany. Love it.
Getting to the end of the week was a little scary (it always is when you have baptisms) and having a new companion, broken bikes, and wondering if your investigators are going to make it can make you a little anxious. Luckily I wasn't too flustered by any of it. I know it's because the Lord heard my prayers. The Christlike attribute I focused on this week is patience. In Mosiah 24:9-16 Alma and his people are in bondage to the Lamanites. They are basically made slaves under the rule of Amulon, a wicked priest of Noah, and they had it hard. They prayed for deliverance. The Lord strengthened them, insomuch that they bore their burdens with ease and did submit to his will cheerfully and patiently. It said because of their faith and patience the Lord saw fit to deliver them. 1- they had faith the Lord would help, 2- they prayed for his help, 3- they were patient in suffering. After they did these three things the Lord then 1- made the burdens easy and later 2- delievered them from bondage. Faith and patience are directly related and prayer is like a catalyst for them. I love the scriptures.
Alles gute! Love you all. This church is the Lord's church on the earth. This work is his work. Til next week!
