Hallo!!
this week was super fast. a ton has happened. me and my companion are training new zone leaders this week! we are now "assistants to the branch presdient." that basically just means we are in charge of the residence building. we go around and night and check things out and turn off lights and pick up stuff. its pretty cool. ill miss being a ZL but we still get to help nuture the new german missionaries coming in this week which is my favorite part. we also get roomates, which we havent had in like 3 weeks. super stoked. i learned a ton being a ZL and will miss the meetings and caring for everyone.
our investigators are doing pretty awesome. we got baptisimal dates for both Richard and Wolfy!! they both needed some coaxing into it tho. wolfy was concerned he didnt have enough faith. we gave him some scrips and tried to help him learn that faith isnt a perfect knowledge (alma 32) and we recieve a witness after the trail of our faith (ether 12). He agreed to set a date to work towards and we promised him that God will increase his faith as he showed his willingness to follow christ and to try his faith by that. Richard is a JW and he had questions about priesthood authority when we first invited him to be baptized. the next lesson we tryed to just make it clear why priesthood authority is important and he seemed to accept that. he still doesnt have a real testimony of the truthfullness of it all so we promised him as well that as he shows God his faith by setting a baptism, God will anwser his prayers about the BOM and in turn the validity of Joseph Smith and our priesthood authority. they are both scheduled for baptism on july 26th. (the day we leave for germany) i love to teach them. the spirit always helps us and helps them understand. i hope they each recieve some real revalation soon as thats what they really need.
the TRC (teaching resource center) this week was sssssuper dope. we had such a strong spririt in our three visits and our German was the best its ever been. i love the volunteers there. its always such a confidence boost. one german lady said we were ready to go to germany today! haha thats cuz the spirit helped our german. our german is definitely not ready but i guess with the spirit it is. cool stuff.
had a cool fourth of july meeting sat night where the whole MTC sang patriotic songs and a cool speaker too. they let us stay out an extra hour and watch the fireworks from the stadium of fire.
ive got way close with my zonemates and especially my district! i sure love these missionaries! they are all so dedicated to the Lord. it will be tough to leave them. our district are all way good friends and we have a ton of fun. we do suprise trust falls, and play mafia and stuff on pday and before bedtime sometimes.
i love yall at home!! i miss you but i wouldnt rather be anywhere else cause this is where God wants me to be. my testimony grows everyday and i know i have the help of the lord all the time.
MUCH LOVE, elder clayton
