This week was really good. Really busy. And lots of cool things happened.
B is progressing really well! He has a ton of time so we met with him almost everyday this week. He basically already lives the commendments so we really were able to teach them quickly. Chastity, WofW, and tithing are "no problem" for him. He is sooo cool. He has such good morals, which is so hard to find in the world. Let alone germany. I feel really blessed to be able to interact with someone so humble, good, and willing to follow our Lord Jesus Christ. We had a really good lesson saturday, after we had taught all the commandments, on Jesus Christ, why he was so much more than a prophet, why we need him, and what he did for us. We combined that with watching Finding Faith in Christ. The Spirit was really good.
I felt it really strong as I bore testimony of Christ as our redeemer. He is going to be baptised on Sunday! I've been here for only 4 weeks and am blessed to be apart of teaching all the lessons, and baptizing someone. What a blessing he is and what a blessing baptism will be for him.
We taught C the plan of salvation on wednesday and it went really well. Her dog died thursday, so I hope that gave her some comfort. She canceled on saturday and didn't come to church and hasn't answered our phone calls for the last couple days so we arent really sure how she is doing. She could use some prayers. I hope she doesn't think we are bringing her bad fortune or something. A week after she commits to baptism and a day after we teach the plan of salvation her best friend (the dog) dies.
Other cool things that happened this week are, daily, and sometimes several times daily, we would "by coincidence" run into someone we have talked to, or taught, or is an investigator. I wonder how many things the Lord had to influence for these little miracles. Honestly the chances of any of these things happening is sooo small but we see them all the time. That's why having a plan for the day is so important I think. Always follow the spirit and go where feels right, but having a plan too, so God can put people in your way. For example we try to get this contact at home all the time. Probably like 15 times we have tried without getting her, but we have met people on the way to or from this woman's house just about everytime! So crazy. One guy we saw for the third time on the street this week. He was like "wow! you guys again! 3 times!" It was enough to show him he should meet with us. The first two times he was way opposed to meeting with us but God gave him a little sign and we now have an appointment with him. This stuff happens all the time. Obviously God is aware of all of us and is always working for our good.
One thing I really tried to concentrate on this week is Charity. (I try to focus on one Christlike attribute each week) Sometimes it's hard to love people. So many of the people here are wealthy, christian, and they think they have everything there is to offer. They won't take the time to hear the wonderful message of Jesus Christ's true church here upon the earth. It's hard to love those who reject you. I prayed for charity this week and I recieved it. When you think about it, most of us would probably turn missionaries away too in their situation. When you try to understand people you begin to love them more. Charity never faileth. Charity isn't bitter when people turn them away. Charity suffers long and is kind. I have a long way to go to be like that but I have experienced it a little more this week as I have tried. Try to have charity everyone. Without charity we are nothing.
Love you all. I'm out of time.
