GREAT WEEK

Tuesday was kinda crazy organizing pick ups and companions for elders during the transfer. We have such great new elders in the zone and some are old friends of mine from way early in the mission. We did some finding together and made tacos for lunch.

Wednesday we went teaching and the senior couple in the area came with us and it was awesome. We taught a lady about the restoration and it was cool to see how humble, but powerful the senior elder bore testimony. It went as well as it could have but the next appointment was great. Our other investigator wasn't feeling well so the senior sister played with the kids while we taught the investigator about keeping the sabbath day holy and gave her a priesthood blessing. They were such a help. She commmitted to keep the sabbath day holy and came to church on Sunday!!  That was a huge step for her.

Later we did finding and had a member pray for us as we did doors. On the second to last door a really nice Russian lady opened up and told us she was interested to hear our message. On the way to the car we talked to another woman who was interested to hear our message as we spoke to her about prayer and the plan of salvation.

Then we had a branch council meeting.  We planned how we were going to help investigators come to church. a beneficial meeting.

Thursday we took an older brother member on some visits. He is awesome and bears a powerful testimony. We visited an investigator and tried to help him gain some courage and strength to start the stop smoking program. He prayed about it this week and we start it this week with the member as his member support. Then we visited a sister from Colombia. She is great. She has been really sick but this time she was sooo happy to see us and cooked for us. She was so humble and fun and just brightened our day.

Friday was our zone leader council. GREAT MEETING. I love my mission president. He is so wise and inspired. That meeting was super long but great. We learned about faith, obedience, and correcting and giving feedback to other missionaries. It was pretty great.

Saturday we taught a lot of people but it was kinda sad how many people didn't have interest anymore or just haven't kept committments. We did some doors late and were blessed to find a cool girl.

Sunday was great! One of out investigators came to church! That was a huge step cause we have been working on that for like 3 weeks. She loved it and the members were great. The kids had a great time in primary too and the Sunday School message was great for her. We ate with some members at the church and then did some weekly planning. We planned for our district leader schooling and zone training meetings this week. Then we taught another investigator even though there is a big language barrier.  We used google translator and were able to help answer some of his questions about relevation. Although communication is tough, we can feel that he has a lot of real intent. Although his german isn't great he wants to come to church.

After that we had about 2 hours left of the day and we needed 2 new investigators to reach our goal and the mission standard. So we got to work. We went by our contacts in this area and just kept getting rejected and time was short. Then we went to visit this family that is never home, this is like in penalty time in soccer. The son (who we never have met) and his friend were there and let us in. We talked about prayer, Jesus, and the plan of salvation. The son expressed some grief, doubt, and questioning as his father passed away years before. We bore testimony of the plan of salvation and gave him a chapter to read in the Book or Mormon and he gladly accepted the offer for us to come back next week and teach the plan to him and his family. I'm so glad we kept going instead of studying like was the plan. We met our goal and met two awesome new investigators that show lots of promise. God shows the way.

I'm way outa time, we got a sport pday, but I love you all, till next week.
